After all this time - POEM 10

After all this time,

Through trials and errors,

Pain and suffering,

I thought after all this time,

I've learnt to ignore,

To walk away,

To just forget.

But it seems,

After all this time,

It's still the same,

Yes, I've matured,

But my heart has still remained the same.

I don't know if I should pray to be different,

But if I was different,

I'd lose my spark,

And the attributes about myself I love the most.
