LAST POST OF THE YEAR

Hey! Can't believe it's already the last post of the year, I started this blog in January and it's already December 31st!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Although I stopped writing here a few times, I came to realize that it doesnt really matter who reads it or who doesn't because at the end it's more of a journal or little diary of improvements for the future.

Personally I really dont know what I did this year, but I know I'm in a better position now compared to this time last year.

NOVEL: ⌨️🖨️📝📄🗒️📘📔📕

I mentioned before that I started writing my novel again. I had the idea for this novel in SS2/SS1 (10th/11th grade or Sophomore/Junior year) I wrote on it a little and published it on Wattpad which gave it three awards but unfortunately it was never finished despite friends and strangers encouraging me to. 

Fast forward to the middle of last year, I started writing, but for some reason my phone just kinda restarted? Everything on my phone got wiped and I didn't even know how, I hadn't backed up the novel I've been writing and lost everything I wrote.

I wrote a chapter or two after that but then stopped, I didn't have the motivation to do it anymore BUT..... I recently got into it again and started writing and OH MY GODDD I have to write every scene 😭😭😭

I wondered if this should be under the novel or the novel should be under this (I think this one would've been more appropriate).

Either ways, I continued writing poems this year, I think about 19 🥳🥳🥳

ART: 🖌️🎨🖼️

Ever since I could hold a pencil I've been drawing, writing songs and designing clothes.

I got into digital art in 2020 but wasn't consistent and later even with my traditional art.

I stopped drawing a lot about 2/3 years ago and was so happy I got back to it a month ago!!! (Btw, I've also started designing clothes again).

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: 🖥️💻⌨️

One of my goals for ge end of the year was to be a full-stack software developer so I think I spent most of my time this year exploring what happens under the hood and how different languages, frameworks and libraries come together.

This also included being an app developer apart from web dev.

I think I mentioned before that the main reason I got into coding/programming was my love for game dev but got kidnapped into web dev instead 😭😂 but I will go into that too maybe after a year? Who knows?

Oh and Btw, MY TECH STACK:

FRONT-END (WEB):  Next.js, Vue.js, Typescript, SASS/SCSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS and jQuery

BACKEND:   Django, MySQL

APP: Ionic (Mobile), Electron (Desktop)

OTHERS:  Git, Vercel, VSCode

LANGUAGES:

I feel I've been greatly improving in this aspect, I could watch movies or listen to songs and podcast and pick up lots of phrases and words and generally understand what it's about without subtitles.

I downloaded Duolingo yesterday after not using it for over a year, I felt it wasn't good for me but this time around, I want to use it only for vocab and that's it. I think because of how it's paced it will be good for that purpose.

So.... Which of my former loves are my reuniting with next year?

Hopefully, I'll start playing the guitar again next year? Hopefully!!!

I've already started designing clothes like before.

What else? I just remembered that in 2021 I had a spark of passion for makeup but I'm not so interested now maybe to just to do it only for myself because I'm no longer interested in doing makeup for other people so.... Yes! That's it.

And let's not forget that the main reason I made this blog was I think for accountability?
