Another Perspective, another shoe, another us....
Despite everything we want to be loved, understood and seen... For our perspectives to be seen, for our intentions to be known, for clarity, for justification and for the love of all righteousness.
But, are we ready to also extend that grace to others?
This can go several ways, without being able to see things from others' perspectives, it leaves us narrow minded unable to see reason or intention but only an absolute answer, an absolute objective. However the world is much more complicated than that. There are feelings, emotions, actions, objectives and most importantly INTENTIONS.
But what exactly is such importance to ourselves or even society? Without perspectives, even the justice system will be another failing system. We can see this with people charged for commiting offenses and the officers trying to find out the motive, the intention, the reason, why exactly was this done? how was it done? was it intentional.
Without the ability to see things from another perspective we'll lack the capability to understand books, movies, interactions, art and even nature. Why is nature green? Why is this bird blue? What exactly is this artist emphasizing in their work? What is this poet trying to say in their work? What story is this author trying to tell?
The ability to shift perspectives and understand different point of views is essential for navigating the nuances for everyday life. Everyday we are faced with decisions, questions and answers and me must choose clearly.
Do we want to be understood? Some might say no, others yes. Do we want to understand others? Again, some might say yes and others no.
The main reason for this post is to put into words the importance of understanding intentions, reasons and actions before judgments or opinions are given. In other words, ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE.
