Creation - Poem 37

Do you create for yourself or do you create for the world?

Well,

Why can't I have both?

You can but in the end what if no one listens,

Watches,

Admires,

Or even thinks your thought pieces are intriguing.

What happens then?

Will you stop?

Will you dismantle everything.

Will you set it all on fire.

Set it ablaze and watch it burn?

Or will you wait for when the world finally acknowledges you,

Acknowledges your work.

Well,

What if that day never comes?

What if the world never sees you?

Will you be on your death bed imagining,

Reminiscing,

Wishing you hadn't wasted so much of your time?

Or will you be happy that regardless of whether your work got exposure or not,

You did you,

You created for you,

For yourself,

For your present,

Your present,

And what would be.

Would you be among those who says if the world doesn't see,

Doesn't acknowledge,

Doesn't reciprocate,

Then it means nothing?

Then it's all for nothing.

Or will you be the one who values your own individuality,

And the purpose of existence and creation as just...

You.
