Weekly update (5/10 - 11/10 2026)

This week, I felt immensely unmotivated to do a lot of things but I was able to get quite a few things done.

WRITING:
POETRY: Wrote 5 poems; passion, creation, must they die?, choices and karma (unpublished).
I tried spoken word poetry in my room and I really liked how my poems sounded. It's the same way I figured out the pattern of singing that suits my voice, I applied it to the words.

NOVEL: Instead of bombarding myself with hurrying my novel and feeling unmotivated, I think it's best to take things slow. About 4k-5k words per week (equivalent to 2 chapters) so at the end of the month I will be done with the first draft.
Unfortunately, I didn't write anything for my novel this week :(

ART:
TRADITIONAL ART: Using the golden ratio method Mmmmonexx (on yt) taught on yt, drawing has been a lot better and easier.
This week I focused on 4/4, 3/4, 2/4, shading, hatching

DIGITAL ART: I've always loved semi-realism and wanted to get better at it. I found a lovely tutorial on semi-realism by Seal on yt (an amazing artist). I've loved her work for some years now and it gave me a lot of clarity.

GENERALLY: Composition, color theory, vanishing points (not in detail).

FASHION DESIGN:
I haven't yet started the short course but I researched a bit on designing, garment making and the lots (to mainly refresh my memory and get to the trends).

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT:
More or less reviewed code and tried solidifying my concepts more. For anyone wondering the languages I know, it's Python, JavaScript, Java & TypeScript (although some argue it's not a programming language).

LANGUAGE LEARNING: Spent most time on listening and speaking this week that learning vocabulary and grammar and I was really impressed with myself when it comes to Korean.
For the longest time, it seemed like Korean was harder to hear than Chinese (or maybe it's because of the fact I grew up watching c-dramas?), but I was able to watch videos on YouTube and understand the overview/main points.

MUSIC: For this week, I don't think I really learnt any new concept or anything but I watched some videos on theory. I would also love to learn a bit about composition.

DANCE: Kind of getting the hang of synchronization but I only practiced for max 2 hours this week which is immensely disappointing.

OTHERS:
THE ARTS: I haven't yet enrolled for any of these courses to satisfy my curiosity yet but I did watch a few videos.
